Paris Pick

✨ Canada’s Yacht-Pop Princess ✨

55 WORD BIO

Forging her own lane in Canada’s indie scene, Yacht-Pop Princess Paris Pick pairs retro charm with shimmering vocals that linger long after the show ends. With a decade of touring behind her and a vibrant new chapter ahead, Pick brings bold energy, big hooks, and undeniable presence to every stage she commands with effortless confidence.

200 WORD BIO

Since 2013, Paris Pick, affectionately dubbed the Yacht Pop Princess, has been making waves with her signature brand of yacht pop: bright, bold, and unapologetically catchy. Born in British Columbia, she came of age musically in Whitehorse, Yukon, before charting a course back to the West Coast while continuing to grow her ever expanding musical world.

Over the past decade, she has toured extensively across Canada and performed at acclaimed showcases including BreakOut West, Liverpool Sound City, POP Montreal, and Focus Wales. With her unmistakable voice, fearless fashion sense, and a catalogue packed with shimmering songs about love, growth, and heartache, Pick blends crunchy cute fuzz guitar with breezy mid 1970s vocal melodies that leave audiences swooning and smiling.

Along the way, she has opened for celebrated acts such as Yukon Blonde, Brass Camel, Jennifer Castle, and Wax Mannequin, to name a few, steadily building a reputation for captivating, high energy live performances. Her work has caught the attention of influential media tastemakers including George Stroumboulopoulos of The Strombo Show and Ed the Sock of MuchMusic. In August 2025, Pick was featured on Exclaim!’s NEW FAVES: Hottest Canadian Artists You Need to Hear Right Now list.

400 WORD BIO

Paris Pick may stand just over five feet tall, but her voice and presence are undeniably larger than life. Known for flamboyant performances that balance fire and vulnerability, Pick and her sequin clad Pricks deliver a bold blend of yacht pop charm and lyrical intimacy. It is music that feels like a whispered secret wrapped in crunchy guitars, mid 1970s shimmer, and undeniable hooks.

Since 2013, Pick, affectionately dubbed the Yacht Pop Princess, has been forging her own lane in the Canadian indie scene. Born in British Columbia and raised between North Vancouver, Squamish, and Port Hardy, she later honed her musical craft in Whitehorse, Yukon throughout her late teens and twenties. That northern chapter helped shape her distinctive sound and independent spirit, before she charted a course back to the West Coast with renewed momentum and vision.

Over the past decade, Pick has toured extensively across Canada and abroad, performing at acclaimed showcases including BreakOut West, POP Montreal, Liverpool Sound City in the UK, and Focus Wales. Her soulful pop sensibility, fearless fashion, and vocal bravado have drawn comparisons to Hall and Oates, while contemporary inspirations range from Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter to Mac DeMarco and Bahamas. As Pick puts it, “Imagine the Eagles, but fem fronted. The Walsh and Felder era, of course.”

Pick’s songs live in the messy in between, where confidence and insecurity collide, and where love and heartbreak walk hand in hand. Her catalogue explores growth, longing, and redemption with warmth and honesty, offering listeners both catharsis and comfort. It feels like a reassuring pat on the back while screaming the truth about someone you used to love.

Along the way, she has opened for celebrated acts including Yukon Blonde, Apollo Suns, Brass Camel, Jennifer Castle, and Wax Mannequin. Her work has caught the attention of influential tastemakers such as George Stroumboulopoulos of The Strombo Show and Ed the Sock of MuchMusic. In 2022, she was named one of CBC Music’s Toyota Searchlight Top 100 Artists, and in 2025 she was featured on Exclaim!’s New Faves list.

On September 5, 2025, Pick released her third full length album, Third Time’s a Charm, via Neon Moon Records. Co produced with Jordy Walker at Yukon’s Stackwall Sound and partially funded by the Government of Yukon, the album marks her most confident and captivating chapter yet.

As the Interim Executive Director responsible for delivering the BreakOut West conference in Whitehorse October 2019, I was delighted to discover the music scene in the Yukon. I was especially impressed by Paris Pick. She not only delivered stellar showcase performances with her joyful & talented band, but also contributed to the overall success of our event by helping the team with promo and logistics. She was unfailingly cheerful and accommodating - a pleasure to work with indeed! A few weeks later, I got to enjoy her full show in Winnipeg as a fan. My friends and family joined me for that and agreed that Paris & the Pricks were a band worth following! We cannot wait for you to be back on the road again. And until then, we look forward to hearing your next releases! Thank you, Paris Pick

Paris Pick and the community of artists that seem to follow have brought so much light to the dark and cold winters of Whitehorse’s entertainment scene for year’s. It has been a pleasure to not only be a fan, but to see how this passion has developed into a well tuned craft. They bring a ton of fun and professionalism to their performances.
