Paris Pick and the Pricks

✨ Canadian Yacht-Pop Princess ✨

55 WORD BIO

Forging her own lane in Canada’s indie scene, Yacht-Pop Princess Paris Pick pairs retro charm with powerhouse vocals, earning spots at BreakOut West, POP Montreal, and Focus Wales. With a decade of touring behind her and a vibrant new chapter ahead, Pick brings bold energy, big hooks, and undeniable presence to every stage.

200 WORD BIO

Since 2013, Paris Pick—affectionately dubbed the Yacht-Pop Princess—has been making waves with her signature brand of yacht-pop: bright, bold, and unapologetically catchy. Born in British Columbia and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon, Pick has now charted a course back to BC’s stunning landscapes as she continues to grow her musical empire.

Over the past decade, she’s toured extensively across Canada and performed at acclaimed showcases including BreakOut West, Liverpool Sound City, POP Montreal, and Focus Wales. With her unmistakable voice, fearless fashion sense, and a catalogue full of shimmering songs about love, growth, and heartache, Pick blends crunchy-cute fuzz guitar with breezy, mid-70s vocal melodies that leave audiences swooning.

She’s opened for Canadian acts like Brass Camel, Jennifer Castle, and Wax Mannequin, and caught the attention of media icons including George Stroumboulopoulos (The Strombo Show) and Ed the Sock (MuchMusic). In 2022, she was named one of CBC Music’s Toyota Searchlight Top 100 Artists.

400 WORD BIO

Paris Pick may stand just over five feet tall, but her voice—and presence—are larger than life. With powerhouse performances that balance fire and vulnerability, she delivers a bold blend of yacht-pop charm and lyrical intimacy—music that feels like a whispered secret, wrapped in crunchy guitars and mid-70s shimmer.

Born in North Vancouver and raised between Squamish and Port Hardy, Paris has forged a unique path in the Canadian indie scene. Dubbed the Yacht-Pop Princess, she’s toured nationally for over a decade and earned spots at high-profile events like BreakOut West, POP Montreal, Liverpool Sound City, and Focus Wales. Her soulful pop sensibility and vocal bravado have drawn comparisons to Hall & Oates, while her contemporary inspirations include Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Mac DeMarco, and Bahamas. Or as she puts it: “Imagine the Eagles, but with more fem-power.”

Pick’s songs speak to the messy in-between—where confidence and insecurity duke it out, where love and heartbreak hold hands. Her music doesn’t shy away from the emotional rollercoaster; it leans into it. Listening to her is like getting a comforting pat on the back while you scream out the truth about someone you used to love. Love, loss, and redemption served hot—heartbreak never sounded so good.

She’s opened for Canadian staples like Brass Camel, Jennifer Castle, and Wax Mannequin, and earned nods from cultural figures like George Stroumboulopoulos (The Strombo Show) and Ed the Sock (MuchMusic). In 2022, she was named one of CBC Music’s Toyota Searchlight Top 100 Artists.

Currently, Pick is working on her third full-length album, Third Time’s a Charm, produced by Jordy Walker at Yukon’s Stackwall Sound. Partially funded by the Government of Yukon, the record is slated for release in 2025—and promises to be her most confident and captivating work yet.

As the Interim Executive Director responsible for delivering the BreakOut West conference in Whitehorse October 2019, I was delighted to discover the music scene in the Yukon. I was especially impressed by Paris Pick. She not only delivered stellar showcase performances with her joyful & talented band, but also contributed to the overall success of our event by helping the team with promo and logistics. She was unfailingly cheerful and accommodating - a pleasure to work with indeed! A few weeks later, I got to enjoy her full show in Winnipeg as a fan. My friends and family joined me for that and agreed that Paris & the Pricks were a band worth following! We cannot wait for you to be back on the road again. And until then, we look forward to hearing your next releases! Thank you, Paris Pick
